Expansion to the substitution of biologic medicines will be phased in between 2024 and 2026.

Reference price groups for biologic medicines to be expanded on 1 April 2024

The change is part of an EU reform to improve the exchange of health data and the quality of care in Europe. The use of patient data outside Finland requires that the patient has given their consent to do so in MyKanta.

Treatment of Finnish patients in Estonia will become easier – Estonian healthcare will soon be able to utilise Finnish patient data

The new version of MyKanta will be launched in stages from autumn 2023. We are actively listening to users as we develop the service. The first functionality that you will be able to try out in the new version of MyKanta is the Prescriptions section.

The launch of the new version of MyKanta has begun – renew your prescription and give us feedback

There are significant regional differences, and the prevalence of ADHD medication use in Eastern Finland is already approaching 20% of all boys in that age group. There are also clear nationwide differences in medication use between boys born early in the year and boys born late in the year.
